HOLIDAY FUN IN THE CLE

Hey hey hey good people!

During this time of year, Cleveland just exudes Christmas. From the obvious snow to ice skating in front of Tower City to all the neighborhood decorated in lights, it’s really magical!

I mean, come on...A Christmas Story was filmed here! They've even turned the house into a museum!

I’ve been in Atlanta for almost 3 weeks taking care of my mom, so naturally when I did get home, one of the first things I did was block off the weekend to spend with my Honey.

I love creative Date Nights, so I put on my thinking hat and with a little inspiration a la Instagram, I came across Wild Winter Lights at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo.

Now, I know what you’re thinking. The Zoo is for kids, but honestly y’all, it was impressive!

And the kicker?? There were just as many adults there for a Date Night as there were families.

When I first mentioned the idea to Anthony, he was skeptical. He was “The Zoo?? Ummmm...ok.” Once we got in there though, he was all in! (Just like I knew he would :D)

The giant teddy bear...

The huge 30+ foot snowman...

The Candy Canes...

Add an ice carving station, cookie decorating with Mrs. Claus, and some hot apple cider and our date at the Zoo was complete!

We even rode the old school carousel for nostalgia's sake!

Afterwards, we discovered a hidden gem called Tabletop Board Game Cafe.

Y’all. It has over 1,000 board/card games. Hello First Five Game Night!

You pay a nominal fee of $5 per person to play ALL NIGHT! The food is relatively cheap too. I grabbed the Marvin Garden sandwich for $9 and Anthony got the Babalu for $12. It even came with tots! How’s that for a throwback vibe?

We had so much fun going down memory lane playing Guess Who? And Connect Four. We even discovered a cool word game called Quiddler. It’s like Scrabble, but with cards! Super fun!!

It definitely let me know that I need to pay more attention to the Words of the Day from Dictionary.com that come through my inbox.

All in all, The Prices has a wonderful time seeing the lights at the Zoo, enjoying Hot Apple Cider, and having an impromptu game night at Tabletop.

Creative Dates for the win!

Now it’s your turn! Take advantage of the Holiday season, go see the lights, go ice skating, or discover a hidden gem!

Make your next Date Night as memorable as the Holiday season!
